Stephen Koch of NAIMA Canada to speak at GreenPrint 2010

(Ottawa, October 27, 2009) Stephen Koch, Executive Director of the North American Insulation Manufacturers' Association Canada, will speak at the GreenPrint Conference on November 12, 2009 in Toronto.

Mr. Koch's speech, entitled "Moving the Process of Building's Energy Efficiency Forward", will focus on energy efficiency in buildings, consumer choice, building codes and how to move the process forward in a strategic way.

"Buildings have an enormous carbon footprint," Koch notes, "which means they represent enormous carbon reduction potential.  Energy efficient construction, and energy efficiency retrofits, will be an integral part of Canada's climate change solution."

Hosted by Ontario Build Envelop Council's, this one-day seminar deals with funding for building retrofits, recent and upcoming changes in legislation, and construction techniques aimed at creating cost-effective and energy efficient building enclosures.

"Ontario's recently enacted Green Energy Act provides a terrific foundation," Koch continued. "Now we need to make sure that the legislation is applied in a meaningful way."

Topics - including Green Roofs, the Green Energy Act, and Integration of the Building Envelope and Mechanical Systems - will be covered by expert speakers from a variety of organizations.

GreenPrint 2010 takes place on November 12, 2009, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, at Toronto's Holiday Inn Conference Centre at 3450 Dufferin Street.
