Essex MFTIP workshop to help local residents reduce property taxes on managed woodlots by up to 75%

(Essex, ON)  The Ontario Forestry Association is hosting a free woodlot management workshop at the Essex Civic Centre on November 23rd.  This is the final workshop of the 2006 province-wide, 15 location tour that has already been attended by more than 600 people.

The free MTIP workshop will take place on Thursday, November 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. It will show you how to apply for tax relief under MFTIP, set objectives for your property, prepare a forest stewardship plan and identify local resources to assist you in achieving your management goals.  Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended.

Workshop contributing partners include the Trees Ontario Foundation, the Essex Region Conservation Authority and the Essex County Stewardship Network.
